“Flatland I (Para Cima e não para Norte)” é o primeiro de 3 episódios que contam a trágica vida de um Homem Plano que um dia descobre que lhe falta uma terceira dimensão.
Neste primeiro episódio, podemos seguir O Homem Plano na sua reflexão pelos mundos da bidimensionalidade e da perspectiva até descobrir que a sua existência temporária no mundo 3D é possível se existirem espectadores a olhar para ele.
Contente com a descoberta mas descontente com a dependência, o homem plano desenha uma estratégia infalível para conquistar uma imortalidade tridimensional.
Flatland I é um espectáculo multimedia, onde letras, sons e imagens em movimento compõem e transformam um livro de 3x4m. Um livro que se pode ver, ler, ouvir, e absorver de muitas maneiras.
(Apresentado em formato de espectáculo desde 2004 em festivais de dança, teatro e multimédia, como filme em festivais de cinema e como instalação em episódios em Museus.)

Flatland I (Upwards, but not to the North)” is the first of 3 episodes that tell the tragic story of a Flatman after he discovers there is a third dimension that is missing in his life.
In this first part we follow Flatman as he reflects his way through worlds of bidimensionality and perspective until he discovers that his existence in the 3D world would be temporarily possible if only he could find a spectator to watch him. Pleased with his discovery but unhappy about the dependency it implies, Flatman develops a strategy to conquer three dimensional immortality.”
Flatland I is a multimedia performance in which letters, moving images and small notes are projected onto a 3x4 metre book that you can read, listen to and watch, as it transforms and moves with the story it tells.
(this piece has been shown as a performance in dance and theatre festivals, as a film in film festivals and as an installation in Museums and exhibition halls.)
